[...] It may seem stupid to you to like a computer just because of the built-in camera, and frankly it would be. Aside from having the silliest photo software ever, my mac totally rocks. My mac never crashes and hardly ever needs to reboot. It can do everything my PC can do, and everything it does it does better. Yes, switching was sometimes painful. It’s not easy to let go of right clicking and using the home key to go to the start of a line of text. But it’s not like giving up ice cream or something - it’s a heck of a lot easier than that. [...]

I'll check out Pogue's book.

I drove past North Central today on the way to the gym. They had six or seven state championship banners draped across the front. Apparently they cleaned up in state choir competitions this year, as well as a sport or two.

Today I wish the weather here was more like Cupertino. It's a good day to live in California!

You should get David Pogue's Missing Manual for OS X. It is huge, but it has all the tricks that don't fit in that tiny Apple book.

Indianapolis, eh? I graduated from North Central HS there in 1975. Now I work one city over from Cupertino (Lost Gatos).
