		<description>Don&#039;t get m wrong, I 100% agree, and I base my user expectations on what things look like in MS Office etc.  It just seems ironic that we are basing our design choices around closed source, proprietary software</description>

As for practical matters, I&#039;ve worked in several places that have taken as their style guide the guide used by a major systems publisher: the Apple Style Guide or the Windows Style Guide (depending on which OS you&#039;re going to run on).
