Oddly enough, the two Tech Dark Side posts that show up the most in search engine requests are How to Pronounce Indian Names and How to Write a Self-Appraisal. These two posts outnumber all others combined by a margin of at least 3 to 1 in terms of traffic generated by search engine results.
This has led to a simple conclusion: how-to articles are a good way to drive search engine traffic into a site. Every day, someone, somewhere, types “pronounce Indian names” or some variant of it on google. And every day, that person gets directed to my site. The same is true of the other how-to articles I’ve written.
To me, this is one of the coolest things about the internet – almost anything I want to learn how to do, someone on the internet has figured it out and posted about. Sweet.

It’s not necesserally the “how to” etc. I think the most important is unique and relevant content!
Thanks
