Both he and I have our spouses. However, he is kind, intelligent, professional, hard-working, and ambitious. My husband does not have most traits that my supervisor has, which make me strongly admire him. My supervisor admires and adores me, too and we have a very close friendship. Although we never say "I love you" to each other, our closeness, trust, emotional attachments, and warm but sincere eye contacts often make us excited and nervous at work. I enjoy our closeness and admiration but have to pretend that I do not care about him, as my jealous coworkers are watching us -- he is the most liked supervisor in the office and I am one of the few key and model employees there... Better corrall that "smooth" and examine what you are saying to whomever and come back with a lot more sincerity. Otherwise, expect either a few lawsuits for misrepresentation of one's intentions, a possible divorce, or, more likely, a lot of lost opportunities in the business world. Thank you. In any event, boss lady now happily married; I worked things out with my partner (as in life mate) and I am happy but sometimes, just sometimes, I do feel a pang. Wish I could say I love you to my boss......
