Bob Sutton, author of The No Asshole Rule, has a very good blog. His most recent post about innovation really hit home for me, maybe because I so often get caught up in the religious debates about how organizations “make” innovation happen.
Check his latest post out. I am particularly happy with a quote he references defining BS, by which I don’t mean “Bachelor of Science.”
Bob does make me lament one thing – that I don’t like swearing. Try as I might, there really aren’t good substitutes for the two swear words Bob uses the most – bullshit and asshole. Jerk and crap just don’t cut it. It hurts me a little to use this language, so I apologize if it bothers you too.
